I came to whisky through wine. For years I was dedicated to importing and distributing collectible wines for private and institutional clients in Spain, Europe and the United Kingdom. In that process I built something that cannot be bought: a network. Collectors, importers, distributors, wealth managers. People who know what they are looking for and cannot find it in any shop window.
In 2010 I visited the Highland distilleries of Scotland for the first time. Macallan was the first. I remember with precision the moment I understood that what I was seeing was not just artisanal production — it was controlled scarcity, history bottled, and a collecting market as serious as that of wine, but less visible. Less crowded.

The same contacts that opened the doors of investment wine to me introduced me to this market. What changed was the product. What did not change was the method: exhaustive verification of origin, direct relationships with thoroughly trusted suppliers and a confidentiality policy that admits no exceptions.
At The Rare Cask I do not work with volume. I work with references that deserve a place in a collection. Legendary distilleries, unrepeatable vintages, editions whose availability is measured in units. Every bottle that enters the catalogue has gone through an evaluation process that has no shortcuts.
I operate with bonded warehouses in Spain and the United Kingdom, transport management under duty suspension and specialist logistics partners. What happens between my clients and me remains between my clients and me.
