Nikka Taketsuru 25 Years Old – The master of Japanese whisky in its most intimate expression
The Nikka Taketsuru 25 Years Old is named after the distillery's founder and the father of modern Japanese whisky: Masataka Taketsuru, who traveled to Scotland in the 1920s to learn the art of single malt and brought it back to Japan. This 25-year-old blended malt, now discontinued, is one of the most sought-after treasures in the Japanese secondary market.
In the glass, the Taketsuru 25 Year Old displays a luminous golden amber color. The nose is elegant and complex: ripe tropical fruits, toasted cereals, mountain honey, soft spices, and a fine woody background with floral notes that are the signature of the Japanese style. On the palate, the texture is silky and very elegant, with a balanced taste and a long, perfumed finish.
A rarity from the Japanese market for the most demanding collectors. Having been discontinued, every available bottle is an unrepeatable opportunity. The legacy of Masataka Taketsuru in its most intimate expression.
